What Color Would You Call A Greyish Light Blue?

Which MMO? Journey to discover the online games (Episode 4)

Hello,
after a long time I find myself heading to continue the old "Which MMO?" which, as you well know, the reviews reported on the MMORPG I tested. And this week we published a paper on a game I really being tested by a very long time, whose name is Atlantica Online and I have to say I was impressed not just for its innovation. I leave the article, good read! Of course, thanks to Fenix \u200b\u200bwho worked with me to review!
EDIT: And I find myself to finish the article from home with a stomach ache! Lately I have not had a minute of free time, it was really a busy week and I published very little.

Atlantica Online, the world at a click

Abstract:
initially bored me greatly, in short, the system was innovative, but it seemed too repetitive scenario and then I seemed a little 'forced' with a little of that to follow. And because it set in Japan? It reminded me of the hated Metin2 ... Thank God I took some 'time to re-evaluate!

Fenix:
want to spend hours killing monsters in FF style? Are you tired to figure it out in simple maps and line? Do you want money to be given away randomly without a clear purpose? Want to improve your English sipping endless dialogue of people of Korea, Japan and other eastern countries? Well, Atlantica is for you! immerse yourself in the game as well.

System features:
As you know well my computer is part and runs almost anything you put on it. However, the client provides a system that adjusts the graphics settings based on system performance. Perhaps it needs a little improving the transition from full screen to an icon, because once the client I crashed. There is also a small bug in the login where they have not been accepted conditions account on the official website.

Fenix:
Since my new computer right to bring up new games like Assassin's Creed 2 without going below 35-40 FPS I can not say much of the difficulty of installation, or graphics.

Graphics and design:

That is, the graphics are nice and care! The characters are detailed and the textures are not pixels. Also you can not help but mention the unique design style "fairyland" of forests and fantastic dresses in Japanese theme e ottocentesco in caso si vada nelle regioni europee.

Interfaccia:
Non è tanto semplice da capire. Fortunatamente il lungo tutorial Initial explains every function in detail. There is something that still is not clear? Atlantic provides a more accurate guides in game I have ever read: you just click on info and then help to clarify your doubts.

Fenix:
Very, very complex. Spending more than an afternoon to figure out what the hell are all those sub-menus. The interface is not intuitive at all, if not in basic things like the random messages and gifts that you will come. Do not force yourself to try to understand what is the purpose of fully equipped shortcuts on the left, I do not understand. Never.

Customization and equip:
The team is a bit 'disappointing. For each category of level you can find only one set of equip upgraded to a maximum of 10, nothing epic pieces, uncommon, or whatever. Also this reminds me of the Metin2 trivial and is not a point for the game! Initially the team will fill endless boxes of inventory to death making you become hysterical. In fact, the real utility of having 294,839 pieces of equal equip appears only later when, during the tutorial, you will be halved as shown using the auto upgrade. From the standpoint of actually crafting Atlantic reminds me a little Team Fortress 2, dove si sacrificano delle armi per ottenerne altre più potenti, o cappelli.

Fenix:
Ah, un tasto dolente. Di equip standard ne avrete a iosa, appena capirete che dalle casse escono set interi di equip per principianti capirate al contempo che sono completamente useless and you'll be selling magigor of the drop. As for the customization of PG there are no stats to take on, if not bonuses with various potions
but will be very minor

Gameplay:
If you are a casual gamer give up beforehand: to truly understand the value of this game you have to spend a bit 'over time. Appears at the beginning of an obscene banality, but only because it is not intuitive, the combat system is a bit 'confusing and you will not know all the options you have. But after the long tutorial that takes you for a long time will change your mind: the game will become fluid and you can do many things together. Reorganize and equip the stat and plan the actions you lose a lot of time? Did you miss going to pick you up and a nervous breakdown? Turn on the car navigation that makes you automatically move to the next target of the quest and in the meantime do what you do. Or you can simply activate the directional arrow that shows you where to go and move on your own.

Fenix:
As mentioned earlier, the command interface and compessa quatity extreme submenus, the game will not smooth at first, despite all the vvarie Fate / Spirits / Guardians di Atlantica vi aiutino nell'apprendimento dei comandi basilari.

Classi:

Si passa dal classico Spadaccino, Monaco, Arciere, Guitarist gunman to the most complex, with a spear type, type with an ax, cannons, and a more sober Woodman with the power saw (seriously). The real question is: Was it really so much need all these classes?
For posterity will judge

Skill:
a real slaughterhouse. Not so much because they are bad or performed badly is that there are very few! For example, when my main character has learned only two, while the other mercenaries, and no one each! As is well known, the skills are an integral part of any MMORPG that meets and put so little is really a pity! From this point of view are very disappointed.

Fenix:
Another sore point. The skill will be given to each according to a leveling system that guesses there anything with the logic of ordinary mortals. As for the animation skills, as well as for the attacks, every time you want to launch an offensive magic with your guitar you'll be put up for a concert that will make you lose precious seconds of battle

Crafting Skill:
The crafting system is great. At first you will get lots of boxes called "Material box "as you drop that will get the materials of which you will not do anything. Then you learn the crafting will find that everything is simple and intuitive: check the menu of the various crafting skills, select one, choose the object you want create, check if you have the right materials and then put it in production. The object appears in a top bar with a percentage that rises each time the next fight, when the percentage reaches 100%, the object is ready for use . Every time you complete a task of crafting your skills and get experience at a certain point, level up if we turn to a certain NPC.

Fenix:
I have not yet figured out how to use it to their benefit. That is, if you make a potion that costs a hundred you have to buy materials for 120 because there is nothing there with the drop, which is the point of it all?

Quest:
At first you should necessarily follow a logical thread that will teach you the basics to play. Then you can also follow the quests that will vary depending on where you are. Are very consistent also with respect to the environment: for example in Japan you will be asked to explore the temples, or to follow the ancient art of Chinese medicine.

Fenix:

Territorio:
Ampio, ampissimo e vario! All'inizio vi troverete in Giappone e l'ambiente sarà un po' ripetitivo, ma caratterizzato dall'ambiente dell'epoca in cui è ambientato il gioco, con fate, streghe, temples, Buddhist monks, ghosts, and so on. Then you will have the opportunity to explore other countries: the nineteenth-century Europe and America.

Fenix:
Vasto, a lot of space used to nothing but increase the anger of the player that will run all over the map aimlessly

and Community Interaction:
Honestly the only contact I had with the community were those for a system of random gifts.

Conclusion:
Atlantic is not your typical action role-playing: Atlantica and reason and reflection, it is strategy. Since the turn-based strategy, which should be evaluated before the fighting to die not to see the weaker characters up to the time needed to work on crafting, buying new team in the Auction House (call market) or in search of new mercenaries from enlist. Even correct use of the bonus you get requires a certain reasoning. If games like Final Fantasy XII, with their strategies and their millemila subquest you liked you can not miss the Atlantic.

Fenix:
If you like the graphics, you're willing to lose a lot of time following the sub-menu and the lack of plot, love puzzles like "Why am I doing this?" Atlantic ago for you!
